Oh dear, December is a rough time for a sugar addict. The parties with their amazing dessert spreads, the egg nogs, the super caramel pumpkin cinnamon spice frappuccino things, those gold-wrapped chocolates colleagues hand out as gifts. Ugh.
So, what do we addicts tell ourselves?
–That’s poison to my uber-sensitive body.
–It’s easier to eat none than just a little bit.
–Am I going for the taste, or a woozy drug-like haze I feel after eating that?
And if you feel the need to indulge, be satisfied with just one bite. For one bite gives you just as much of whatever food experience you want as 1000, just without the buzz.
